John was born Sept. 25, 1814 in PA. He was the third child of Johann (John) George Weibling and Christina Gantz.

   John first married Catherine Kleinfelter. She was born in PA. She and John had seven children together before her death, April 6th, 1851.

   Those children were: Edwin; Ellen; John; Jacob; Mary; Louisa; and William O.

   After his first wife's death, he married *Catherine Emahiser,on Aug 15th, 1852, in Morrow County, Ohio.

They had three children together: Albert; Jacob Miles and Corwin.

   In1853, John sold his property in Woodbury to his brother Samuel (born 1821 PA) and moved to Westerville, Ohio. That is where he is found in the 1860 Franklin Co. Census. John states he is a "Cabinet Maker".

   In 1870, John and his son Edwin were in business as J. Weibling and Son in Westerville, Franklin Co., Ohio. They sold furniture, wallpaper and glass. They also served as undertakers.

   (Direct decendants of John's line claim they lived in Westerville, and there was a building in town with the name "WEIBLING" at the top. Possibly John's business location).

   John Weibling died Nov. 7, 1882 in Westerville, Ohio.  Click here to view his obituary.

*Catherine Emahiser was born abt. 1830 in PA.; and her death was 1914 in Franklin County Ohio.

Her parents were:
Jacob Emahiser
b. March 23, 1804 in Windsor, York Co., PA.
His death was August 6th, 1875 in Morrow Co., Ohio.
He married Mary Polly Wilhelm abt. 1825.
