John was born August 14, 1848 in Savannah, Missouri. He was the oldest of seven children born to Charles and Louisa. John first married Cella Odle on April 30, 1874. He was the proprietor of the Billiard Hall in Robinson, Kansas. In 1877 John and Cella had a daughter named Lillie. Cella and Lillie both passed that year.
John then married Katherine Wilcox on April 25, 1886. John and Katherine had four children together (Charles Edward, Carrie Louise, David Albert, and Mary Florence). These children were born in Robinson, Kansas.
John passed in 1911 and is buried in Robinson, Kansas. To view his obituary click here.
