Gilbert Leon was born Oct 12, 1927 at Dane, Oklahoma. He was the third child of William Sturgis Weibling and Bessie Ellsworth. He joined the Navy in Sept. 1945. He was married on Jan 22, 1949 in Reno, Nevada to Frances Nelson. She was born on Jan 16, 1930 at Caddo, OK- daughter of Louise Foster and James George Nelson. Gilbert and Frances had three children: Sharon Kay Weibling; Fred Leon Weibling and Peggy Ann Weibling.
