Charles Weibling was born in York County, Pennsylvania on March 25, 1823.

His parents were:

   Johann George Weibling   born 1783 in Maryland
  Christina (Gantz) Weibling born 1785 in Maryland

Charles was the sixth of eight children.

All of Charles' brothers and sisters stayed in the eastern states, settling mainly in Pennsylvania and Ohio.  Charles eventually moved to Savannah, Missouri where he met and married Louisa Blankenship on April 1, 1847.

While in Savannah, they had five of their seven children (John, Amanda, Joshua, William, and Christopher).  In the spring of 1861 they moved to Robinson, Kansas, where they had their last two children (Charles and Ida Bell). They were some of the earliest settlers of Robinson.  There they homesteaded 640 acres.

Charles did not have any formal education.  In fact, he signed his last will and testament with an .

Charles and his wife Louisa are buried in Robinson, Kansas.  They share a single headstone which is placed almost in the center of the cemetary.
